 August 2, 2011 - Ativa Among Select Companies Chosen to Host FDA Visit and Demonstrate Advanced Product Development Process

Ativa Medical Corporation was selected as one of four medical companies in the Twin Cities to host a team of senior officials from the FDA’s Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH) through a program organized by LifeScience Alley. In addition to Ativa, the FDA visited Medtronic, Boston Scientific and Lutonix to gain a better understanding of each company’s specific approach toward technology innovation and the associated testing and modeling techniques.


The primary objective of these meetings was to foster collaboration between medical companies and the FDA to reduce review times and improve decision making on regulatory submissions.


“We were honored to be selected by the FDA to participate in this program to share our unique and integrated approach toward technology development. We look forward to ongoing collaboration with the FDA as we continue to work through the regulatory process to bring our products to market in the US,” stated David Deetz, President and CEO.

This exclusive meeting with Ativa Management allowed the FDA’s attendees to gain insight into the Company’s integrated product development quality modeling processes, and laid the foundation for greater collaboration with the agency in the future.


 

 January 26, 2011 - Ativa highlighted among high tech Minnesota companies in Saudi Arabia
The Minneapolis Star Tribune recently highlighted a trip to Saudi Arabia by five Minnesota-based companies. The trip was organized by the BioBusiness Alliance of Minnesota, and Ativa was selected to attend as the representative medical products company.
 December 10, 2010 - Ativa welcomes Dr. Bob Galen to its Board of Directors

Ativa adds Dr. Bob Galen, to its independent Board of Directors. "Dr. Galen posseses an incredibly valuable understanding of both the technology and the market that Ativa is playing in," says CEO and President, David Deetz.

 November 4, 2010 - Ativa receives grant for Qualifying Therapeutic Discovery Project
Ativa has received a grant of approximately $244,000 from the IRS's Qualifying Therapeutic Discovery Project. The IRS awarded funds to companies that are working to improve healthcare, create jobs, and advance the United States technologically.  "The IRS recognized Ativa's ability to bring affordable, accessible diagnostics to the world," says Ativa CEO and President, David Deetz. "There is inherent value in a technology capable of improving healthcare delivery and quality of life for a vast majority of people. Our application to the IRS clearly demonstrated that capability," says Deetz.
 September 13, 2010 - Ativa named a finalist in 2010 Minnesota Tekne awards
Ativa was named a finalist in the 2010 Minnesota Tekne Awards in the category of small and growing life science companies. Nominees for the Minnestoa High Tech Assocation (MHTA)'s annual Tekne Awards ranged from from small start-ups to large global corporations. Overall the Teknes award leaders across Minnesota for their technological discoveries and development.

 December 1, 2008 - Ativa expands to meet growing needs
Ativa Medical has recently moved into 12,000 square feet of additional office and laboratory space in St. Paul. "This space will really give us the room we need to continue to expand and speed up product development," says CEO David Deetz.
